2023 Numismatic Products

This 1,000-korun banknote commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Czech National Bank. It is the same as the 2008-dated 1,000-korun banknote, but with overprints on front consisting of the Czech National Bank’s logo and a facsimile of a green CZK 1,000 banknote stamp dating from 1993. The anniversary logo contains the text “CNB” in gray ink, and “1993 / 30 / 2023” in blue-green color-shifting ink. A total of 200,000 notes will be available from 8 February 2023 with a limit of five notes per person.

2022 Numismatic Products

According to a press release dated 19 November 2019, the Czech National Bank planned to introduce a new 100-koruna note in March 2022 commemorating the establishment of the Czechoslovak koruna by featuring Karel Englig, the most important financier of the First Republic. Like the preceding numismatic product, the notes are based upon the designs of Eva Hagkova, and 20,000 notes were packaged in folders and sold at a premium to face value.

2019 Numismatic Products

The Česká Národní Banka held a competition to design a new 100-korun banknote featuring Alois Rasin to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak koruna. On 1 March 2018, the bank announced its decision to approve the following design submitted by painter Eva Hašková. The new note packaged in a folder was sold for 1,000 koruna beginning on 31 January 2019.

The aim of the new versions of these banknotes is to better protect the banknotes against counterfeiting and to help the public to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit banknotes.
